My Siel smag na Water

Image result for cross

Die hitte slaan warm golwe teen my wange vas. My hart roep onwillekeurig, “Here, wanneer is dit genoeg?”

Vandag voel dit soos hel, dink ek by myself terwyl rooi grond deur my vingers loop.
Ek haal my hoed af, ek is op moedverlore se vlakte. My siel woel onstuimig hier binne my.  Vandag is ek by die kruispad wat ek al so lank uitgestel het.  “My Here hoekom”?

Ek hoor my vrou se stem, ferm, maar opreg.  “Willem, jy moet by God uitkom, alles gaan nog vrek op hierdie plaas!”

Uit my binneste kom ‘n onaardse gil wat alles binne my breek.  Ek huil en skel tegelyk.
“My kind, my kind, hoekom Here hoekom myne”?  Ek val met my gesig in die warm sand en slaan stofwolke met my vuiste in die grond.  “Here, dis so seer” hoor ek die snikke opgaan.
My liefling kind, dit was so vinnig so skielik.  “Ek sien pa nou”  was sy laaste woord.
“My liefste seun ek mis jou so”!
“My Here ek en hierdie plaas het U water nodig vandag.”

Soos my trane die aarde benat, plof die eerste druppels hier langs my in die stof.  Ek kyk op na die rollende wolke en vir die eerste keer in baie jare hoor ek weer my Vader se stem,  “Vandag huil ek saam met jou my kind.”

David Platt recounts story of man raised from dead in Southeast Asia

Pastor David Platt
In a remote Southeast Asian village, a leader’s death and apparent resurrection from the dead fueled revival among a previously unreached group. From GodReports.com
Pastor David Platt shared the story with the Southern Baptist Convention’s Executive Committee Sept. 19 in Nashville, according to Baptist Press. Platt currently serves as president of the Southern Baptist’s mission board. The report came to Platt from an IMB missionary.
A Southeast Asian believer trained by Southern Baptist missionaries took some friends with him and began sharing the Gospel in a village “that was totally unreached with the Gospel until they got there.”
The villagers responded attentively, began to study the Bible like the noble Bereans, and many in the village believed.
As they came to Christ, a number brought idols, necklaces and amulets connected with pagan worship to the center of the village to be burned, Platt recounted.
But in a strange reversal one day, some began taking back their occult-linked objects.
It seems the village leader had died and a few superstitiously believed his death was caused by evil spirits upset about the destruction of the sacred objects.
Discouraged by the sudden turnaround, the Christians went to express their condolences at a house where the village leader’s body lay in repose.
Standing over the fallen leader, they began praying “that God would show His mercy to the people in the village, that God would show His glory and His love to that people who were so close,” Platt told Baptist Press.
Then something astonishing happened. As they were praying over the man, all of a sudden the man coughed!
Everybody in the house got really still. Then the man coughed again. People rushed to the man’s side as he started breathing once more.
People started helping him up. Everyone looked at the Christians in amazement, wondering, ‘What in the world happened?‘
“They decided this was as good a time as any to share the Gospel,” Platt said. “So they shared the Gospel, and in the days to come, people started coming to faith in Christ and that village starting burning their idols.”
Platt acknowledged he doesn’t have medical evidence from the remote location to verify the resurrection, but said: “I do know at villages like this, they know how to recognise death.”
Jokingly, Platt said if he wasn’t dead, God chose an opportune moment for the man to cough.
“Here’s what I do know: We have the Good News of a God who has conquered death, who has power to say to the dead, ‘Come to life.’”
Resurrection if the hope of all believers
Resurrection if the hope of all believers

Resurrection is the hope of all believers

M’t:10:7-8:” And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand. Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, RAISE THE DEAD, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.”

Imagine the impact the following is going to have on Planet Earth: 1Th:4:16-17: “For the Lord himself shall descend from Heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.”
This is going to happen all at once right across the world… and we are in the last hour.

The Angels God has sent to Fulfill your Prophecy

Prophetic Word: The Angels God has sent to Fulfill your Prophecy
Dr. Hakeem Collins

The word of the Lord came to me saying that the body of Christ is coming into their divine season of prophetic fulfillment. The Lord likened this next season as a time of an open door, open window, gate and open portal where prophetic prayers and intercession has ascended to Him. God has heard your petition!

The Lord showed me that there was war going on in the heavenlies. Your breakthrough of miracles, blessings, favor, answered prayers, restoration, healing and salvation for loved ones is breaking through suddenly.

Many of you have been pressing in, soaking in His presence and petitioning the King and Judge to release a favorable outcome and judgment. The Lord says that your personal prophecies and prayers has met much resistance, but He has sent His word through Angelic reinforcement to confirm your release.

He has sent His warring Angels to help bring your prophecy and prayer requests to pass. The Lord reminded me of Daniel — when he prayed, the Lord answered Him. God spoke to me that your answers are coming like express, certified, hand-delivered mail.

"Then he said to me, "Do not be afraid, Daniel. For from the first day that you set your heart to understand this and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard, and I have come because of your words. But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me for twenty-one days. So Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me, for I had been left there with the kings of Persia" (Dan. 10:12-13).

God wants me to encourage you that your breakthrough is imminent. The warfare was not in vain! God has dispatched His Angels to carry out His prophetic promises in your life. The Lord said that your prayers seem to hit a brass Heaven, but He is opening the Heavens on your behalf while sending the host of Heaven to cause you to walk in your prophetic destiny. Angels are summoned by the voice of the prophetic decrees and words over your life. God has employed your angels the first day you prayed!

"The Lord has established His throne in the Heavens, and His kingdom rules over all. Bless the Lord, you His Angels, who are mighty, and do His commands, and obey the voice of His word. Bless the Lord, all you His hosts; you servants who do His pleasure" (Ps. 103:19-21).

We must understand one of the assignments of Angels is that they carry out God's Word. Their primary role is to respond to the voice of the Lord. True prophetic words that are released from the mouth of God and His prophets will summons angelic assistance to bring God's promises, will and directives to pass. Angels serve the eternal purposes of God. They bring in provision for the vision of God in your life that is to align to His will and word over you.

God is dispatching His Angels to deliver you from the grip of the enemy that is keeping you from walking in your destiny!

"The very night when Herod would have brought him out, Peter was sleeping between two soldiers, bound with two chains. And the guards before the door were securing the prison. And suddenly an Angel of the Lord approached him, and a light shone in the prison. He struck Peter on the side and woke him up, saying, 'Rise up, quickly.' And the chains fell off his hands" (Acts 12:5-7).

Angels will be used of God strategically in this hour like never before to bring divine breakthroughs in the life of the believer. As the prophets prophesy the word of God, we will see prophetic breakthroughs. As we war over our personal prophecies, we will see angels coming to the rescue to deliver and fight for you to receive the promises of the Father.

"This command I commit to you, my son Timothy, according to the prophecies that were previously given to you, that by them you might fight a good fight" (1 Tim. 1:18).

Network of pro-life maternity homes celebrates 1,000th baby born

Network of pro-life maternity homes celebrates 1,000th baby born

September 20, 2016 (LifeSiteNews) — Good Counsel homes, a network of pro-life maternity homes, celebrated its 1,000th birth in June, which its president said was just as miraculous as every other birth.

“It’s a milestone, [but] the reality is every child, every person is uniquely made by God,” Good Counsel President Chris Bell told LifeSiteNews.

“I think about how unique God makes everything, even every single blade of grass,” he said. “There is nothing that is a copy or that ever was before or that ever will be again. … God is creating new life all the time and that life also gives us an opportunity to serve and to grow and to know in a human way God even more.”

Good Counsel runs six maternity homes, five of which are on the East Coast. Its newest home is on the Gulf Coast of Alabama.

“Mia Rose was the 1,000th baby born, and her mom was in … it’s unfortunate to say, a not unusual situation where she could not live at home during that period of time after she conceived,” Bell explained. “We take any pregnant mother in need and give her an opportunity to go back to school, to find a job, and we offer free day care in our home.”

What makes Good Counsel homes unique is that they accept any mother — particularly homeless mothers — and provide her with holistic care that respects her life and the life of her unborn child.

“There are some 300 maternity homes in the nation and far too few of them will take in any pregnant mother in need,” Bell said. “That’s certainly a challenge [for us to accept anyone], but that is what we’ve come to understand our mission to be.”

Good Counsel accepts those suffering from mental illness or drug addiction and even has a home in Westchester County, New York, that is designed to help such women.

When a pregnant mother comes to a Good Counsel home, she may stay for 12 to 18 months. In addition to medical care, vocational training, and spiritual counseling, mothers receive instruction on parenting, nutrition for themselves and their babies, and budgeting.

“We know that all forms of contraception are degrading to men and women,” Bell said. “Every form of hormonal contraception is introducing hormones into a woman’s body and we know that that is harmful on a physiological level.”

Because of this, and the potential of hormonal contraception causing very early abortions, Good Counsel works with doctors who don’t prescribe contraception to or sterilize their patients after they give birth.

Bell said Good Counsel helps mothers faced with uncertain prenatal diagnoses to understand that such diagnoses can often be mistaken. And, if a child with special needs is born, then “The question becomes, how much love do we have? Do we have enough love to care for a child with Down syndrome?”

He compared babies saved from abortion to the Holy Innocents, the young boys King Herod murdered after the birth of Jesus.

“We know that Jesus Christ at his birth was rejected by the government as well, and children — and we don’t know the number, but many children died in his place because the government was seeking to wipe him out and that’s exactly what we have today — the government seeking to wipe out the faces and the image of God,” he said.

“We believe that every person — every person — is made in the image and likeness of God and every person, even our enemies, has an opportunity to come to the forgiveness and mercy of Jesus Christ,” Bell said. “Mia Rose is a representative for us of the next victory, if you will, in that she, even though rejected by others, is accepted by us.”

Good Counsel runs a 24-hour national pregnancy help line, 1-800-723-8331, and a post-abortion healing program called Lumina.

“Half of the mothers who come to us have had at least one abortion … and they simply do not want to do that again,” Bell said.

Father Benedict Groeschel, one of the founders of the Franciscan Friars of the Renewal, was one of Good Counsel’s founders. Toward the end of his life, a Good Counsel board member asked him what he would like to see happen to Good Counsel.

“[He] said, ‘just grow,’” Bell recounted, and the board member took the famed priest’s advice to heart.

Good Counsel acquired its newest home in Alabama, near Pensacola, Florida, when the board member discovered a maternity home there with only two mothers but capacity for more. Good Counsel became involved and now the home has grown to hosting 12 mothers.

“Every baby born is certainly an awesome revelation of God’s love,” Bell. Rejecting a baby would be like rejecting God, he said.

“We are the most advanced nation in history right now, we’ve gone to the moon and back … we’re exploring the stars in every direction, and [yet] there is this overwhelming sense that we cannot begin to love every baby that God gives us,” he said. “And how sad, how deeply, deeply sad and tragic is it that with all that we have, with all that we’ve been given, the best that we can do is say, ‘this baby is a burden,’ or ‘it’s not my choice,’ to have this baby. There’s nothing more inhuman and nothing more debasing than to look at a person … and saying, ‘we don’t want you,’ you know, ‘you’re not part of us.’ For us who believe in God, you can’t even fathom how deeply that is rejecting God as well as everybody else.”

So far this year, 112 babies have been born to Good Counsel residents.

Trump Makes Pro-Life Pledge, Hires Pro-Life Advocate for Campaign

Donald Trump has welcomed a pro-life advocate to head up his campaign’s pro-life coalition. The Republican presidential candidate also released a decidedly pro-life agenda.

According to Charisma News, Trump has made the most unequivocal pro-life commitment that any presidential candidate has ever made.

If elected, Trump has committed to nominating pro-life Supreme Court justices, signing into law the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act, defunding Planned Parenthood as long as they continue to perform abortions, and to making the Hyde Amendment a permanent law, making sure taxpayer dollars do not go to funding abortions.

Charisma News contributor Bryan Fischer notes that this means Trump plans to uphold the Constitution’s protection of the right to life.

If Trump were to defund Planned Parenthood, the $534 million the organization receives every year would be redirected to fund women’s health centers which provide comprehensive healthcare.

Fischer notes that these pro-life pledges are validated by Trump’s appointment of Marjorie Dannenfelser to his campaign.

Dannenfelser is the head of the pro-life organization the Susan B. Anthony List and has led the pro-life cause for over two decades. She is thus a bold choice for Trump’s campaign, and as Fischer notes, leaves no doubt about the message he is trying to communicate.

Christian Volunteers Harvest Grapes in Samaria in Fulfillment of Jer 31:4

“Again shalt thou plant vineyards upon the mountains of Shomron; the planters shall plant, and shall have the use thereof.” Jeremiah 31:4 (The Israel Bible™)

In the vineyards of Shiloh, Ofra, Psagot and Har Bracha, a group of about 100 Christian volunteers from the USA, Canada, and other parts of the world, were on hand to assist Israeli farmers with the grape harvest this week. The group was part of HaYovel, a U.S. based non-profit that recruits volunteers to help independent Israeli farmers.

Paul Docherty, a 58-year-old construction worker from Seattle, Washington told Tazpit Press Service (TPS) that this was his fourth volunteer mission. “I love coming out here to the vineyards of Shiloh to prune the grapes and help out the farmers living here,” he said.

Docherty, like all the volunteers, are spending about three weeks in Israel and cover the costs of the trip on their own.

“Seeing the gratitude of the farmers, and connecting with the settlers, is something I look forward to each year,” noted Docherty. “I read the Bible, and just being able to visit Shiloh is a special experience in itself.

“I’m not such a bad pruner either,” he added.

Indeed, the HaYovel grape harvesters are serious workers. According to Caleb Waller, the volunteers harvest on average about 20 tons of grapes a day.

HaYovel was founded by Tommy and Sherri Waller, who have been bringing volunteer groups to Israel since founding the organization in 2005. The Wallers have 11 children, all of whom are active in HaYovel in a variety of capacities, from harvesting and field logistics to PR and lecture presentations about Israel and their organization’s work.

“Our mission is to help Israeli farmers anyway we can. We show them that they are not alone,” Tommy Waller told TPS. The 55-year-old grandfather was raised in a Southern Baptist home in Tennessee, where he and wife raised their family, homeschooling their children. Waller, who worked for Fed Ex for 13 years, left the corporate world and moved his family to an Amish community where they ran a successful organic family farm. Today they draw on their vast agricultural experience to benefit Israeli vineyards and farms.

“Life has been a spiritual journey,” he explained. “Some people might call it radical.”

Waller made his first trip to Israel in 2004 and met an Israeli farmer, Nir Lavie, in Har Bracha. Lavie quoted the Biblical prophet Jeremiah, “Again you will plant vineyards on the hills of Samaria,” and Waller was swept away.

“It felt like I was touching the words of the Bible for the first time,” said Waller.

“I wanted to help Nir out and asked him how we could help – he told me he needed workers and a year later HaYovel was born.”

Headquartered in Har Bracha, HaYovel has the backing of the community rabbi, Rabbi Eliezer Melamed, although not all farmers in Judea and Samaria accept the help of the Christian volunteers.

Waller emphasizes that they are not missionaries. “This isn’t about converting, but showing our respect and standing with the Jewish people in their biblical heartland. We’ve had thousands of volunteers from all over the world come as well as delegations of Congressmen and senators. They see a different kind of reality in Judea and Samaria – a peaceful one,” he said.

The volunteers tend to agree. In the Shiloh vineyards, one can hear them singing as they work against the backdrop of the rocky Samarian mountains.  “We’re excited to be here,” said Paul Docherty’s sister, Jane. “I knew I wanted to do this when I heard Caleb Waller and his brother, come to speak to our congregation. We’re participating in history.”

For Shiloh vineyard owner, Ira Rappaport, the volunteers provide a vital service. “I’ve never seen anyone handpick grapes as fast they do. Their work is amazing,” he told TPS.

What Billy Graham's Daughter Did to Save Her Marriage

The night I met my late husband, Danny Lotz, I was 17 years old and had just graduated from high school. Danny had been raised in a strong Christian home by a father who was a pastor of a small church in New York City, Charisma News reports.

Danny had received Jesus Christ as a young boy at his dad's church and had taken a strong, uncompromising stand for his faith since then. He was a young girl's dream, and 15 months later we were married in the same mountain chapel where my parents had married 23 years earlier.

We moved into a small house, and at 18 years of age, when my friends were well into their college studies and planning their careers, I was grocery shopping, cooking, mopping and decorating, as well as working part time. It was wonderful!

Ten years later, we moved to a city where Danny practiced dentistry full time. By then, we had three children, and I did volunteer work and taught a weekly Bible class that was attended by 500 women.

Anne Graham today. Her father, the world-
reknowned Evangelist, Billy Graham, is 96
years old

Without my noticing it, the busyness had overtaken me, and I awoke one morning to the realization that I was in a marriage in which the love had run out! I will never forget the panicked, trapped feeling I had as I knelt in prayer, desperately pleading with the Lord for help.

If you feel trapped in a marriage where the love has run out, praise God! There is hope for you just as there was hope for me. The first step in starting over is to invite Jesus into your marriage.

Jesus Was Invited to a Wedding

John has given us glorious eyewitness testimony of the identity of Jesus Christ. Yet that identity was limited by Jesus' humanity, which was like a house of curtains, veiling His deity. However, when He performed miracles or taught the truth, it was as though the curtains parted and the glory streamed through.

What a simple yet profound blessing it is to know that the first time the "curtains" parted and Jesus' glory was revealed was in a home as He celebrated a wedding! At the very start of His public ministry, the One who formed man and breathed His own life into him, the Son of God, was invited to a wedding. And He accepted the invitation! (See John 2:1-2.)

If you need a miracle in your marriage, invite Jesus into the relationship. You will be blessed by the knowledge that He is there when unexpected problems and crises arise.

Jesus Was Informed of the Crisis

During the first century, when Israel was under Roman occupation, there was little cause for celebration. A wedding created an exception in that oppressive atmosphere.

It was to such a celebration in Cana of Galilee that Jesus, His disciples and His mother were invited. And it was during such a festive occasion that a crisis occurred--the wine ran out (see John 2:3).

In that culture and time, running out of wine would cause the newlyweds such humiliation that they would never be able to lift their heads in public again. This was a marriage in trouble almost from the moment it began.

Has the "wine"--that spirited, sparkling liquid that symbolizes passionate, affectionate love--run out of your marriage? The loss of love can occur gradually, similar to the way I expect that the wine ran out at the wedding in Cana--one glass at a time until it was gone.

When Mary learned of the crisis, she immediately informed Jesus, " 'They have no more wine'" (John 2:3, NIV). The crisis was stated simply, without explanations or suggestions about how He might fix the problem.

Although kind and respectful, Jesus' response to Mary gives the impression that He doesn't intend to do anything about the problem (see John 2:4). Sometimes Jesus' answer addresses not only the specific need we have brought to His attention but also something deeper.

Apparently Mary wanted to solve the problem for the young couple, but she also had a hidden agenda (see John 2:4). She thought this wedding celebration would be a wonderful place for Jesus to begin letting people know who He was.

Are there hidden agendas in your prayers? Are you praying for God to save your marriage to avoid being humiliated or rendered financially devastated by divorce, instead of striving to glorify Him? Jesus understands the feelings associated with our trials, but glorifying God should be our bottom-line agenda.

Mary may not have known and understood everything, but she knew Jesus cared. And she knew that in order for Him to have the freedom to make a difference, she would have to place total control of the situation in His hands.

Jesus Was Invested With Full Authority

After speaking with Jesus, Mary called the servants and instructed them: " 'Do whatever He tells you'" (John 2:5). She was confident Jesus could make a difference in the crisis.

Have you placed your marriage and your situation under His authority? Maybe one reason He has allowed you to be in your present crisis is to bring you to the point of complete submission to His will.

I believe that's what happened in my life. I remember getting up early one morning, slipping down on my knees and tearfully asking God once more how I could fix my relationship with Danny.

I opened my Bible to 1 John 4. As I meditated, God began to give me specific instructions on what to do.

His words to me were: "You are to love Danny because I first loved you. If you say 'I love God,' yet you don't love Danny, you are a liar. Because if you don't love your husband, whom you have seen, you cannot love Me, whom you have not seen. So I give you this command: If you love Me, you must--it's not an option--also love Danny.

"Dear Anne, love one another, for love comes from Me. Everyone who loves has been born of Me and knows Me."

Through His gentle words, God laid out three very basic principles about my love for Danny:

•Love comes from God.

•Those who are able to love others, including their spouses, are those who have been born of God.

•Those who are able to love others, even when the love runs out, are those who not only are born of God but also know God.

Although God lives within me, His love for Danny is available to me only in proportion to my knowledge of Him. God made this clear to me by saying, "If you are not able to love Danny, it's because you do not know Me, because I am love."

I realized that knowing God is more than just being born again, just as knowing my husband is more than saying marriage vows at the wedding altar. Knowing God involves an intimate, personal relationship that is developed over time through prayer, Bible study, obedience and being filled by the Holy Spirit moment-by-moment.

I knew God had given me the key for changing my marriage--for turning water into wine. The key was not to focus on my relationship with Danny but to focus on my relationship with God!

As I spent time with God, He would fill my life. And because God is love, His love would also fill me. Therefore, since God loved Danny, love for Danny would fill my life and overflow from Him, through me, to my husband.

It would be weeks before I could say honestly that the water had been turned into wine, but I was no longer frustrated, tense or worried. God gave me peace and joy within as I trusted Him to infuse my life and my marriage with His love.

When the shortage of wine first became known at the wedding feast in Cana, it seemed that Jesus would do nothing. But Mary knew He would act in His own time and in His own way.

I wonder what the servants were thinking as they obediently filled those jars with water. What did they think when He told them, " 'Now draw some out and take it to the master of the banquet'" (John 2:8)?

What made them risk their reputation and their jobs to carry out His instructions? It must have been something about Jesus Himself that thrust them out on the limb of risk-taking obedience.

I can imagine all the servants, jostling for position to get an unobstructed view of their co-worker as he made his way to the master of the banquet with the pitcher of water. I wonder, as he began to pour, if his hand jerked, spilling a few drops, when he saw that although he had put water into the pitcher, wine came out?

The water had been turned into wine! And the new wine was the best (see John 2:9-10).

It was a miracle! But it was such a quiet miracle--nothing flashy that would have drawn attention to Jesus or announced that the Messiah had come. Just a quiet change that saved a young bridegroom's honor and a newlywed couple's marriage--and answered a mother's prayer.

Can you imagine the thrill those servants experienced? It's the same thrill I've experienced again and again as I have climbed down from a pulpit to a standing ovation, acutely conscious of the water I had put into the message--the interrupted prayer time, the scattered thoughts and the weak delivery. Yet wine had flowed out.

No one in the audience knew that water had gone in but wine had come out. And as I outwardly lift my hand in praise to God, inwardly I acknowledge that a quiet miracle has occurred.

And it's the same thrill I get daily when I look at my beloved husband and remember the water--and the wine! Though my marriage is far from perfect, God's love in me and through me for Danny is much deeper, stronger and steadier than the love I had on my own.

Are you desperate for a quiet miracle in your marriage or your ministry that would turn the water into wine? Then invite Jesus to come in, inform Him of the problem, and invest Him with full authority.

Jesus makes change possible even when the love has run out. He invites you to taste and enjoy the "new wine" as you thank God from your heart for giving you Jesus!

Die vereelte hande

Image result for cross

‘n Jong man het aansoek gedoen vir n bestuurspos by ‘n groot maatskappy.

"My moeder het ander mense se klere gewas "

“Seeing is believing”

Image result for cross

A while ago I experienced in my spirit that the Lord was asking me this question: “do you want to wait for signs and wonders to manifest or will you accept My word and trust Me alone?” This was in response to my petitions to the Lord with regards to the healing of my wife and child. I would pray for their healing, but when I saw that they were still the same the next day, I would be disappointed and would then petition the Lord again for healing. One morning during my time with the Lord, He gave me this scripture to read:

Luk 1:13  But the angel said unto him, Fear not, Zacharias: for thy prayer is heard; and thy wife Elisabeth shall bear thee a son, and thou shalt call his name John.

Luk 1:14  And thou shalt have joy and gladness; and many shall rejoice at his birth.

Luk 1:15  For he shall be great in the sight of the Lord, and shall drink neither wine nor strong drink; and he shall be filled with the Holy Ghost, even from his mother's womb.

Luk 1:16  And many of the children of Israel shall he turn to the Lord their God.

Luk 1:17  And he shall go before him in the spirit and power of Elias, to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just; to make ready a people prepared for the Lord.

Luk 1:18  And Zacharias said unto the angel, Whereby shall I know this? for I am an old man, and my wife well stricken in years.

At this point I only read and understood this as the awesome promise of John the baptist who would prepare the way for our Lord Jesus Christ (Yeshua). I did not see what the Lord wanted me to see, so He let me continue with the next part of Luke 1:

Luk 1:34  Then said Mary unto the angel, How shall this be, seeing I know not a man?

Luk 1:35  And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.

Luk 1:36  And, behold, thy cousin Elisabeth, she hath also conceived a son in her old age: and this is the sixth month with her, who was called barren.

Luk 1:37  For with God nothing shall be impossible.

Luk 1:38  And Mary said, Behold the handmaid of the Lord; be it unto me according to thy word. And the angel departed from her.

And then I finally saw and understood what the Lord was trying to teach me! When the angel came to Zacharias and gave him the promise of a child at his age, he replied with an unbelieving heart and asked: “whereby shall I know this?”...and zap!!, the angel caused him to be dumb for the full 9 months of pregnancy plus 8 days until John was circumcised! And that for a simple question in unbelief.

However, when the angel spoke to Mary and told her that she would not conceive from a man, but be impregnated by the Holy Spirit, she replied with: “be it unto me according to thy word”. It was then at this point that I felt the Lord asking me: “do you also want to wait for 9 months and 8 days, or will you trust Me on My word and immediately receive your promise?” Right there for me it was game, set and match!

The Lord then spoke to me in my spirit about so many of His children who have accepted the curse of the world of: “seeing is believing” and do so many times proclaim it with their mouths, while the word of God gives us clear direction on what faith is (Heb 11: 1).

Verse 6 of Heb 11 is very clear though, that it is impossible to please God without faith!

But there is also a promise of a reward for them who diligently seek Him...wow!!!

Why then is it so difficult for us to stand on God's word and to trust in Him? Maybe it is because we have too much of the word of the world in our mouths and too little of the words of God? The Bible is very clear that we have power in our words and that we can either speak death or life into our circumstances. In the book of James we read how he describes the tongue as a small part of the body, capable of starting a big fire!

Pro 18:20  A man's belly shall be satisfied with the fruit of his mouth; and with the increase of his lips shall he be filled.

Pro 18:21  Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.

Therefor, the man who wants to live a prosperous life, must learn to control his tongue! May the Holy Spirit help us to choose our words wisely!

This miracle Baby beat all odds!

THIS MIRACLE BABY BEAT ALL ODDS, AND DEFEATED A FATAL DIAGNOSIS

News Staff : Sep 15, 2016 : CBN News

"Our doctor kept saying, 'Where did we go wrong? Did we miss something?' I know all people are not Believers, but I just say she's a miracle of God. I saw with my own eyes what doctors saw. Yes, she has minor problems—but she's alive."

[CBN News] Ashley Shirley has received her fair share of sad news as a parent. She was told her 2-month-old baby girl was blind after visiting a retina specialist. (Photo via CBN News)

For most parents this would be a devastating blow, but this family's faith has endured a much longer journey of unfortunate circumstances when it comes to their baby, Jocelyn.

During Shirley's pregnancy, she and her husband received news that their daughter had a lethal birth defect. Doctors told them that her chance of surviving outside the womb was virtually impossible.

The diagnosis included improper growth, femur bones that were bowed, a small chest cavity, as well as a missing portion of her brain (the corpus callosum).

Jocelyn was also diagnosed with skeletal dysplasia, which is otherwise known as "dwarfism."

The devastating diagnosis from doctors continued.

"As she continued to grow, they said it would keep progressing, getting worse and worse," Shirley said. "Around 32 or 33 weeks, they started noticing just how small her chest cavity was—more red flags that it would be lethal."

The Shirleys were told their baby would most likely die.

"Every week, I would go back, and they would look and say the same thing. They didn't know what to expect, but by the looks of it, they couldn't even say whether she'd come out breathing," Shirley said.

Instead of planning for a happy arrival for her newborn baby, Shirley began to plan for every mother's worst nightmare—her baby's funeral.

"I finally got up the nerve to contact a funeral home," she said. "I wanted to have her transported back to family in Cincinnati. I had to make some seriously hard phone calls to prepare—we were praying for the best, trusting God, but also had to prepare ourselves for the worst."

At 37 weeks pregnant the Shirleys anticipated the worst, but prayed for a miracle. (File photo via Orthodox Way of Life)

"I was super nervous," she recalled.  "I almost passed out twice because I was so anxious. All I can remember is my husband holding my hand. He laid his forehead on mine, and we were praying. All I could do was plead with God to let her come out screaming, breathing. It felt like an eternity. It was so quiet, you could hear a pin drop."

Jocelyn proved doctors wrong, entering the world with a loud scream. They were stunned when she was born alive with normal health.

"Our doctor kept saying, 'Where did we go wrong? Did we miss something?' I know all people are not Believers, but I just say she's a miracle of God. I saw with my own eyes what doctors saw. Yes, she has minor problems—but she's alive," Shirley said.

Shirley says that her faith is what got her through.

"Coming from someone who has had to walk through that, there's not really words you can give someone. I think people deal differently, so I just think you have to live in the moment, get through the moment," she shared. "You can't worry about tomorrow—just get through that moment ... until you have to face what's really happening."

"I don't know that I could have gotten through it without my faith," she said.

Girl (10) Left for Dead Under Rubble Following Airstrike in Aleppo Miraculously Saved by 'Syrian Savior'

A ten-year-old girl who was left for dead after her home in Aleppo, Syria was destroyed by a bomb was miraculously saved by a quick-thinking rescue worker, dubbed her "Syrian savior."
"I was really afraid, my body was really hurting from all the debris that fell on me," the little girl, named Doha, said in a heart-wrenching video of the event, translated by CNN. "I was covered with dust, then someone came and carried me.

Just moments after Doha was buried by the remains of her former home, a rescue worker quickly dug through the rubble, pulling out the bloodied little girl.

"I carried her to the ambulance as fast as I could, trying to save her life, as I felt she was still alive," he said. "I tried not to lose the child, I tried to get the hospital as fast as possible, and I did."

While their home was destroyed, Doha's entire family survived the traumatizing ideal. However, her little sister, Yasmin, was injured so badly she was sent to Turkey.

Today, the family lives in a nearby town, and Doha and her hero share a special bond: "I felt like she was my own daughter, my own child, that I would all my life care about her," her rescuer said. "That's why every now and then I check on her and bring her here to my garden."

Aleppo, in northern Syria, has been besieged for years during that country's five-year civil war. While Doha's story had a happy ending, thousands of other children in Syria haven't been so fortunate: According to statistics from the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, 142 children have been killed in Aleppo in August alone, and around 50,000 children are believed to have died across the country during the last five years of fighting. Currently, 1.5 to 2 million people still remain in Aleppo, now divided into rebel-held and government-held areas.

Last month, the world was stunned by video footage of 5-year-old Omran Daqneesh after he was pulled from the rubble following an airstrike in Aleppo's rebel-held district of Qaterji. Images of the bloodied, dust-caked child went viral, and refocused international attention on the horrors of the country's civil war.

However, the doctor who treated him said his injury was slight compared to the others wounded in the bombing: "The truth is that the image you see today is repeated every day in Aleppo," said Mustafa al Sarouq, a cameraman with the Aleppo Media Center, who filmed the video of the little boy.

"Every day we cover these massacres and these war crimes in Aleppo. When we go to the places that have been bombed, regime planes circle around and bomb it again to kill rescue workers that are helping civilians. They kill these people who are trying to rescue people."

Earlier this month, 15 of Aleppo's remaining doctors wrote an open letter to President Barack Obama pleading for help, drawing attention to the fact that there are 42 attacks on medical facilities in Syria in July - or one every 17 hours.

Sarouq added, "The whole world is silent to these crimes in Aleppo against women and children...There are thousands of children like Omran who are being bombed daily, killed daily...

Everyday this city is hit with every type of weapon, with every type of crime. The living conditions are terrible. The only route out of the city is totally unusable, it is shut. We call on the whole world this regime and these militias that are killing children and specifically the children of Aleppo. These crimes must be stopped in Aleppo."

'Ek wil net gaan dans by Jesus'

Ek wil net gaan dans by Jesus.’

– Netwerk24

God's Voice Helped Her Survive the World Trade Center Attack

God's Voice Helped Her Survive the World Trade Center Attack From the 81st Floor: Remembering 9/11

My heart was palpitating a mile a minute as I was going down the staircase. And what also came to me is, 'You and Dan will be blessed with a beautiful life. You will go north.' And I saw like green trees. This is all while this is happening, and I'm in a very nervous state, but the messages were coming in.” –  Jean Potter

(New York, NY) — [CBN News] September 11 is a time to remember the thousands of victims who died in the 2001 terrorist attacks. It's also a day to offer thanks for those who miraculously survived.

Jean and Dan Potter live a peaceful life in a quiet, suburban town in New York. It's a stark contrast to 15 years ago, when the couple was living in a Manhattan apartment just a few blocks from the World Trade Center.

Jean worked on the 81st floor of the first tower hit on the morning of 9/11.

"All of a sudden, this massive explosion rocked the building, and we literally swayed from side to side," Jean told CBN News. "And what first came to me is, 'This is not your time. We are with you. Your brother is with you.' I lost my brother in 1999."

Jean believes it was the voice of God — loud and clear — a message in the midst of chaos.

"You're thinking, 'Is this building going to fall? And I'm up 81 flights. How am I getting out of here?’" she explained.

Jean made it to the staircase as the floor became engulfed in flames.

"My heart was palpitating a mile a minute as I was going down the staircase," she recounted. "And what also came to me is, 'You and Dan will be blessed with a beautiful life. You will go north.'"

And I saw like green trees. This is all while this is happening, and I'm in a very nervous state, but the messages were coming in," she said.

Jean believes God was reassuring her and prodding her to keep moving down the staircase.

Monumental Loss

"I would say in the 20s, we start seeing firemen, which gave us all a sense of relief," she continued about her trip down the flights of stairs. "One of whom was Vinny Giammona, who was my husband's lieutenant at Ladder 5, and I grabbed his arm." (Screengrab via CBN News)

"I said, 'Vinny be safe,' and I will never forget the look on his face that day," Jean recalled. "It would have been his 40th birthday, and he left behind a wife and four children — four little girls who are now grown. But I will never forget the look on his face."

Lt. Vinny Giammona was one of 343 New York firefighters who died that dark day. Jean's husband, Dan, a firefighter at the time, knew 60 of them.

When the terrorists struck, he was on Staten Island but quickly raced to Manhattan to make sure Jean was safe, not knowing that she made it out of the North Tower before it collapsed.

It wasn't until he was a block or two away that he realized the magnitude of the situation.

"There's different-sized body parts," Dan recalled. "There's big pieces, and there's small pieces, and it's all over the place."

Dan arrived at ground zero to help and had to take cover when the South Tower collapsed — and later, the North Tower.

"It sounded like a freight train, maybe a hundred times more, and you just figure with that amount of noise, and you know it's coming down around you. It's just a matter of time," Dan told CBN News.

Debris and concrete pelted Dan, but he says God kept him alive, and "the big hit" never came.

Praying for Help

Covered in ash, the battered firefighter refused to give up his search for his wife and went back to their apartment.

Dan pounded on the door, but no one answered. It was then he thought that he had lost Jean. The overwhelmed firefighter then left the building and sat on a nearby bench and prayed. (Screengrab via CBN News)

It was at that moment that an Associated Press photographer snapped a photo of him, a photo that would be seen around the world.

"I'm praying to Jesus, praying for clarity ...  'What do You want me to do?  What should I do?'" Dan explained in reference to the photo.

Dan believes Jesus directed him to go back to the apartment. It was there the phone rang.

His father was crying and called to check on Dan. He also told Dan where Jean was, and Dan was on his way.

"I saw her standing there, and she's all upset, and she looked at me kind of wide-eyed, 'What are you doing here?'  Like that," Dan said.

"In he walks in his bunker gear, covered, and his eyes were blood red," Jean said. "There was just blood in his eyes, and I said, 'Where were you?'"

"He said, 'You don't want to know,' and we hugged. It was just unbelievable," she recalled. "We are so grateful for what Jesus has done in our life."

All Is Grace

Jean chronicles the couple's amazing story of survival in the book, By the Grace of God, A 9/11 Survivor’s Story of Love, Hope, and Healing.

"He was with all of us that day, and I don't want people to think that we were so special because we were saved," Jean said. "I mean it wasn't our time, and He was with those who were passing over, and it's just a great privilege to speak about Him."

Life has been tough at times following 9/11. The Potters have dealt with post-traumatic stress disorder, and Dan had to retire as a firefighter because of the injuries he suffered on Sept. 11, 2001.

Yet, in spite of the attacks and the difficulties that have followed, the faith of Jean and Dan remains strong. They hope those who read and hear their story will also trust in God.

"God is a loving God," Jean shared. "If you turn over your pain to Him, He will pull you through it. He will heal your heart."

"I trust Him implicitly, and I give Him my life with that ...

'Use me for Your glory, and whatever I can do for You,'" Dan said, praying at the same time.

After living in Pennsylvania for a season, Dan and Jean are back in New York, enjoying life in a small town.

"Once again, Jesus brought us to a new place of blessing," Jean wrote to CBN News. "We are finally home, and it feels wonderful."

Dan has done some emergency planning for residents there, and Jean is writing again. She's writing about another example of the Lord's faithfulness during a time of tragedy. Jean's mother passed away in 2016. She survived surgery, but died 17 days later.

"(The Holy) Spirit guided me once again through the most awful, painful days of my life," she shared with CBN News. "At every turn, every moment I was guided with every decision. It was unbelievable." - CBN News

Sewejarige seuntjie verdwaal 6dae in jagkamp!

(Luk 15:20-30).

Daarom is my hart bly en my eer juig; ook sal my vlees in veiligheid woon.”
Daarom is my hart bly en my tong juig, ja, ook sal my vlees nog rus in hoop.” Hand 2:25-26

Maria sê: “My siel maak die Here groot, en my gees is verheug in God, my Saligmaker.” Luk 1:46
Neh 8:11
Hoe behou ons hierdie wonderlike blydskap? Dawid Wilkerson stel dit so:

Dankie byvoorbaat.

‘Gee my ’n nuwe hand, liewe Jesus,’ bid Kosie

Goeie dag geseendes.

Gou vinnig n getuienis waarom jy altyd traktaatjies saam jou moet dra..

Dra altyd 'n traktaatjie of dvd by jou. Ek het n reel.. Ek verlaat nooit my huis sonder traktaatjies nie, want ek weet Jesus stuur mense op my pad.. Ek bid daagliks daarvoor..
